Guest Speakers AAE 2025: Doctors Mona and Neal

Dr. Mona

Dr. Mona Suzuki: “Striving to Surrender”

Dr. Mona Suzuki, the founder of AIM (Aloha International Mission) shares personal reflections on her desire to pursue Christ. Mona hopes to be transparent in sharing her journey of striving—not toward success, but toward Surrender.

She’ll share about God’s presence in the birth of AIM and how we may weave Christ into our everyday medical professions. Whether you’re a fellow healthcare professional or someone seeking deeper alignment with God’s purpose, her talk will hopefully encourage us to strive to surrender with the aim of eternal impact! Our time together will center on God, how we may glorify Him individually and through our God given medical profession.

Dr. Neal

Dr. Neal Shimoda: “Made Different”

Dr. Neal Shimoda, leader of iHOT (Inspire Health Outreach Team), shares his lifelong struggle to fit in and to try to be just like most everyone else here on earth. In hindsight, it is clear that from the very beginning, God had another plan for him.

Dr. Neal Shimoda will share how God led him on a defined path for decades, but 12 years ago, got him involved in a houseless ministry and, miraculously, he has been “made different” through that ministry. The change affected his home, medical office and now his transformation continues through AIM. He hopes to help others to be open to and recognize God’s plan to make each of them different as well. Our time together will help to remind us that we are not of this world and that we must embrace the fact that we can all be “made different” by Jesus! Through our transformations, more of His good work can be done for His glory.
