The 2017 Aloha International Mission Annual Event
On Saturday June 10, 2017, AIM was privileged to host Dr. Kent and Amber Brantly. The Brantlys including their children Ruby and Stephen were medical missionaries to Liberia, where Dr. Brantly worked at the Samaritan’s Purse sponsored ELWA Hospital, providing care to a country recovering from a brutal civil war. He was working in Liberia, when the 2014 Ebola epidemic hit and hehimself contracted Ebola. We are grateful to the Brantly’s very honest and heartfelt account of their experiences. Click below to watch the talk and Q&A.
To learn more about the Brantly’s experience the following resources are available:
“Called For Life: How Loving Our Neighbor Led Us Into The Heart of the Ebola Epidemic”
“Facing Darkness” A highly recommended documentary interviewing the Brantlys, ELWA staff, and Liberian survivors of the Ebola epidemic.
Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian Medical/Relief Organization, who sponsored ELWA hospital and doctors and nurses such as Dr. Brantly. To learn more about Samaritan’s Purse click here.
