C.A.R.E.
Children need to know they are important, loved and valued. How do we express this to those we come in contact with while on a mission trip? I had to answer this question for myself and came up with an acronym for the word C.A.R.E. We have to Care for the children we meet and show them just how cherished they are in our eyes and in the eyes of our loving Heavenly Father. Whether in word or deed it’s all wrapped in the way we let them know we CARE!
C – connect and have compassion
A – accept and assist
R – respect and respond
E – empathize and encourage
We all have the basic need of wanting to have self worth. When we minister to the children of other nations, we too should bring genuine love and appreciation for who they are and really show them that we CARE!
In our hearts as well as with our hands we show that we are there for them and bring gestures of love. We want to let them know that we accept them exactly for who they are and help them with what we bring in the best we can. Where there is need of a new outlook or just a fresh wind of hope, our purpose is to CARE!!
Bless the children with the love of Christ and the heart of the gospel as you love and serve them unconditionally.
