Pray, Commit and Go
What you have to offer is significant. In ministry, everyone plays a part. Everyone has a role. Everyone is important in accomplishing a task, reaching a goal and fulfilling a vision.
Like the well used illustration of a puzzle. Everyone has a piece that put together forms a completed picture. What’s your piece? Are you bringing it to be used? Or have you believed the subtle words of deceit planted by the enemy that what you have is not good enough, important enough, significant enough? Who are you anyway to think that you can be a part of kingdom works?
Satan is the father of lies and there is no truth in him (John 8:44). If he is trying to keep you from something, then there must be value to it.
As God asked Moses in Genesis 4:2, “what is that in your hand?” Ask yourself the same. Moses replied to God “a staff.” Oh what miracles, signs and wonders were performed when he yielded what he had. Put into God’s hand, the ordinary becomes the extraordinary.
Believe God for the increase of what you offer to him for His use and for His purpose.
God can use your service on any level. Whether it’s your skill, wisdom, and knowledge as a health care professional. Whether it’s your faith, counsel and training as a pastor or leader. Whether it’s your prayer, support, and labor as a student or layperson. God can and will flow through you.
Whoever you are. What ever you do. Offer back to God what he has put in your hand. Know that if God blessed you to have it. If He blessed you to do it, it is of value and can be used for His glory to bring hope, love and support.
On a mission trip, there is a place for you. Pray about it, commit to it and then go do it.
Pray. Commit. Go!!
